Database & Library Access Issues

This guide will help out with common database and access issues when contacting the Hunt Library isn't an option.

EAGLEsearch Issues

You may occasionally find a broken link to an online resource in EAGLEsearch. Unfortunately, these issues are often out of our control.  There could be several reasons for a broken link:

  • The database vendor or publisher website may be down.
  • The database vendor or publisher may have removed the item from its website.
  • The database vendor or publisher may have provide bad linking data to EAGLEsearch.
  • EAGLEsearch has incorrect linking data in its index.
  • EAGLEsearch incorrectly indicates we have access to an item not part of our subscription.

Alternative Links

If you click on the EAGLEsearch result title or "Full Text Online" link and get an error accessing the item, there may be alternative links you can try.

Report a Broken Link

Broken links in EAGLEsearch can be reported in two ways. On the EAGLEsearch search results page, look for the box on the right side with a link to submit a link and get help by a research librarian.

EAGLEsearch Search Results Report a Broken Link

On EAGLEsearch item detail pages, look for the link in the Links section to Report a Broken Link. If you enter your name and Embry-Riddle email address, a librarian will help you access the item.
