License Options for Your Data

When publishing in Data Commons, you retain the rights to your work.  The default for published datasets in ERAU's Data Commons is for data to be open access through a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 4.0 license.

Several other options are available, if needed:

• Alternative Creative Commons licenses: CC 1.0, CC BY NC 3.0
• Software-specific licenses, including: MIT, GNU licenses, Apache-2.0 and others.
• Hardware-specific licenses: CERN OHL and TPR OHL
• Embargo options to delay file access
• Restricted access to files with researcher contact options
