Click the Glossary tab to get definitions for terms used in the database.
Search Tips
To search for articles, select the Company drop-down menu and select Keyword.
To search for a company, use the search box or hover over the Companies tab and select Company Finder.
Other search options include Company Histories, SWOT Reports, Investment Reports, and Financial Reports.
To search for an industry, use the search box or hover over the Industries tab and select All Industries.
Other search options include Market Share Report, Industry Essays, and Plunkett Reports.
Click the Comparison Charts tab to compare companies, countries or industries by revenue, number of employees, sales per employee, GDP, etc.
Click Case Studies to search for or browse case studies by keyword, date, or subject.
Search results can be marked by clicking the star button next to each item of interest. Click the Saved Items tab for print, email, and other options.
Enclose terms in quotation marks to search for exact phrases: "total quality management"

Provides full-text access to news articles, legal cases, and company information.
Click the dropdown arrow next to the Menu at the top of the page
Click on Company Dossier
Click on Create a Company List
You may click on the “Company Type” drop-down menu to select a specific type of company, or leave “All Companies”
Select desired criteria including the industry (represented by the SIC or NAICS code)
Scroll down and choose desired geographical information (e.g., United States/Florida/ Orlando)
Click on Create
The top 10 companies in your desired SIC/NAICS classification within that geographical region will be displayed. To view more companies, click on the Next: Customize List tab (upper right), select the desired “sort order,” and click on the Update Company List tab (lower right).

Search Tips
Results are narrowed to the News category by default. Select another category (Cases, Statutes and Legislation, etc.) to view different results.
Use the options in the Narrow By section on the left to further focus your results by Timeline, Publication Type, etc.
Enclose terms in quotation marks to search for exact phrases: "law reviews"
Use the asterisk (*) to find variant endings of a root word: brief* will find brief, briefs, briefing, etc.
Use connectors AND, OR, NOT to separate terms and phrases: "municipal code" AND violation*

When you have finished adding items, click the envelope icon to use the Email feature.

Below are the instructions for locating companies by geographic region:
Provides detailed business descriptions, corporate histories, competitor information, and financial statements for many U.S. and non-U.S. public companies, as well as overall industry reports for North America and other regions.
Click on Advanced Search (top of the page)
Click on the plus signs in front of the various choices to add them to your list of search criteria (e.g., clicking on the plus sign in front of "zip code" will allow you to specify a zip code.)
Click on Submit to view the total number of companies meeting that criteria.
By clicking on the (blue) tab labeled "Industry Codes" you can choose NAIC or SIC. Click on the plus signs to add to your search criteria. Use the other blue tabs (financials, ratios, etc) to customize your search. Click on Submit after listing each criteria to see how many companies result.
Once you have your list of criteria completed, click on View to the right of your last criterion to see the final list.
Click on Log out in the upper right corner of the page when you are finished searching.
Search Tips
On the Basic Search screen, search for company information by company name or stock symbol.
From the Company Details page, use the blue tabs along the top of the page to access various kinds of information, including History, Company Financials, etc.
If your company does not appear on the results list, try searching for it by the holding company name, if applicable.
To locate relevant industry information, search by Primary SIC code or Primary NAICS code.
Use the code lookup to identify SIC/NAICS codes.
The "Country Profile" box in the lower right corner of the main page provides comprehensive economic and statistical information on countries.

Click on World Aerospace Database (upper right of page)
Click on Products/Services Suppliers
Under “Select report type and formatting” click on the button next to “Products/Services suppliers.”
Under “Add filters to target your search,” click on the plus sign in front of categories such as “Business Criteria,” "Location," and “Products/Services Categories” and select desired criteria
Click on Apply Filters
Click on View Results in the box on the right of the page

If the database isn’t available upon accessing it from the Research Databases page, click the Log In icon in the upper right corner until it changes to MY AWIN.

To print an article, use the printer icon located to the side of the article title, rather than the browser print function.
Browse individual publications including Aviation Week & Space Technology 100-yr Archive by clicking on CURRENT & PAST ISSUES on the right end of the menu bar.
