Locating Company & Industry Information

The Hunt Library has many resources available for students interested in company and industry information.

Locating Companies by Geographic Region

Below are the instructions for locating companies by geographic region:

Business: Insights
Provides access to company profiles and histories, brands, rankings, investment reports, chronologies, industry information, and more.
1. Click Browse All Companies tab
2. Click the Location drop-down menu
3. Using the Countries/Territories or States/Provinces menus selection a location
4. Click on Apply
5. Use the Filter by name or table value box or other fields to narrow your results
- To create a shareable link to a document, click the Get Link button.

Below are the instructions for locating companies by geographic region:

Nexis Uni
Provides full-text access to news articles, legal cases, and company information.
1. Click on Find a Company below the search box
2. Click on Advanced Search Filters (you may need to click on Company Info on the left side of the page first)
3. Click on Location
4. Choose a country by clicking in the Enter Country Name box.
5. Enter the State/Province
6. Click the Search with Filters button.

Search Tips
- Results are narrowed to the News category by default.
- Use the options in the Narrow By section on the left to further focus your results by Timeline, Publication Type, etc.
- Enclose terms in quotation marks to search for exact phrases: “law reviews”
- Use the asterisk (*) to find variant endings of a root word: brief* will find brief, briefs, briefing, etc.
- Use connectors AND, OR, NOT to separate terms and phrases: "municipal code" AND violation*
- For help using and searching this database, click on Help in the upper right-hand corner or click the Search Tips link beneath the Search box on the homepage.
- For help finding particular types of documents (cases, statutory codes, regulations, etc.), use the Get a Doc Assistance link beneath the Search box on the homepage.

Below are the instructions for locating companies by geographic region:

Aviation Week Intelligence Network (AWIN)
Full-text aviation, aerospace and homeland security news articles from AWIN.
1. Click on Companies in the Search By banner near the top of the page
2. Click on Location
3. Input the city, zipcode, and state of interest or click Select Region/Country
4. Add filters to target your search by clicking on the plus sign in front of categories such as “Business Criteria,” "Personnel," and “Products/Services Categories” and select desired criteria
5. Click on Apply
- Select AWIN ACCESS in the upper right corner to read full-text content.
- Browse individual publications including Aviation Week & Space Technology 100-yr Archive by clicking on CURRENT & PAST ISSUES on the right end of the menu bar.
- To create a shareable link to a document, copy the URL in the browser's address bar.
