As you begin to identify articles, books, videos, or any other materials for your research using EAGLEsearch, it's important to save any items you might like to use later. Fortunately, EAGLEsearch provides a variety of ways to manage your results. A few of those options are the following:
For users of citation/reference managers, EAGLEsearch allows you to directly export your items to a citation/reference management tool like RefWorks, EndNote, and others. RefWorks is integrated directly into EAGLEsearch so you can seamlessly save your results directly to RefWorks.
The Permanent Link provides the opportunity to copy a direct link to that particular item in EAGLEsearch.
The Cite this item feature allows you to print out a citation of your item from a variety of citation styles (i.e. APA, MLA, Chicago/Turbian, etc.).
The Email feature allows you to email yourself, or others, a citation of the item, which includes a direct link to the EAGLEsearch record or the full text of that item, if available.
The Save feature allows you to save items to a temporary folder located in the upper right-hand corner of the page. When an item has been saved, the folder icon to the right of the title will turn red and the folder icon at the top of the page will show the number of items currently saved .
To view your saved items, select the saved items folder at the top of the page. Please note that this folder is temporary, and all items will be removed after 20 minutes of inactivity. From the temporary folder, you can then choose how to manage your saved items. Select a citation style (APA, MLA, or leave as shown on the results page), and then either print or email your saved items or have them exported to a citation/reference management tool like RefWorks or EndNote.
If you don't already use a citation/reference management tool, RefWorks is fully integrated within EAGLEsearch and freely available to ERAU students, faculty, and staff. In the ProQuest RefWorks box, click on the Sign up (free) button to create an account.
