EagleSearch Help

This guide will help you with performing, refining, and saving searches using EagleSearch.

Managing your results in EagleSearch

As you begin to identify articles, books, or any other materials for your research using EagleSearch, it's important to save any items you might like to use later. Fortunately, EagleSearch provides a variety of ways to manage your results.  A few of those options include the following:

  • Citation
  • Permalink
  • Add this item

Citation

The Citation feature allows you to select and copy the citation for that item from variety of styles (i.e. APA, MLA, Chicago/Turbian, etc.).

The Permalink provides the opportunity to copy a direct link to that particular item in EagleSearch.

Add this item

The Add feature allows you to save items to a folder located in the upper right-hand corner of the page.  When an item has been saved, the pin icon to the right of the title will show it crossed out saved item icon and the pin icon located at the top of the page will spin and turn red briefly .

To view your saved items, select the pin icon at the top of the page.  From the My Favorites page, you can then choose how to manage your saved items such as by email or exporting them directly into a citation/reference management tool like RefWorks or EndNote, or by a RIS or BibTex file.

If you don't already use a citation/reference management tool, RefWorks is fully integrated within EagleSearch and freely available to ERAU students, faculty, and staff.  For more information, see our RefWorks guide
