Enplanements

What is an emplanement?

"The total number of revenue passengers boarding aircraft. Includes both originations and transfers." - TAF Glossary

The following resources can be used to help locate data on passenger enplanements.

Terminal Area Forecast (TAF) This link opens in a new window
The official FAA forecast of aviation activity for U.S. airports. It contains active airports in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) including FAA-towered airports, Federal contract-towered airports, nonfederal towered airports, and non-towered airports.
1. In the gray box, select Facility.
2. Choose a date range (From and To years).
3. In the "Find" box, enter an airport code.
4. Click on Run Report.
5. The report should open as a new tab/window in your browser.

Limited to one user at a time. Please click Sign out when finished. International airline and airport statistics from the International Civil Aviation Organization.
1. Sign in according to the directions.
2. For the "Airport Traffic" module, click on Launch.
3. Make sure "Passengers" tab is preselected.
4. In the filter buttons above, select desired years(s) and airport.
Good to Know
- Limited to one user at a time. Please click the Sign out button when finished.
- Not all air carriers or airports are ICAO members. You may not find data for every air carrier and airport in the database.
- From within each data table, click the printer icon to print or the Excel icon to download the data to Excel format.
Search Tips
- Click the Modules link near the top center of the page to access the subscribed Data+ modules.
- The subscribed Data+ modules include:
  - On Flight Origin and Destination
  - Traffic by Flight Stage
  - Airport Traffic
  - Air Carrier Fleet
  - Air Carrier Personnel
  - Air Carrier Finances
  - Air Carrier Traffic
  - ICAO-ACI Airport Data
- Click the Launch button next to the module you wish to view.
- From within each data table, click the Reset button to undo your selections.
- For help using and searching in the database, click the FAQ link at the top right or center bottom of any page.
  - Be sure to click and explore the different headings at the top of the FAQ section, such as Data, Carrier Traffic, TFS, etc.
  - From the FAQ section, scroll down and click the Glossary button for detailed definitions of specialized terms used in the database.
  - To view the data sources and dates covered, from the FAQ section, scroll down and click the ICAO Data Notes button.

Limited to one user at a time. Please click Logout when finished. Provides independent market intelligence, analysis, news, country profiles, route maps, financials, and data services for the worldwide aviation industry.
1. Sign in according to the directions.
2. In the search box, type in airport name and select from the populated list.
3. On the airport "About" page, click on Traffic in the menu on the left.
4. From the "Orlando International Airport annual or monthly traffic" drop-downs, "Passenger numbers" should be listed as default.
Please click Logout when finished.

Airport Activity Statistics of Certificated Air Carriers: Summary Tables
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) Airport Activity Statistics of Certificated Air Carriers: Summary Tables presents summary data for all scheduled and nonscheduled service by large certificated U.S. air carriers including the volume of passenger, freight, and mail enplanements, and aircraft departures for each airport served each year.
