Primary Sources

Newspapers are a great primary source.  Local newspapers will be a key place to locate information about many of the tourist sites in Florida.  Remember, not all newspapers are searchable so you might have to browse them.

There are many locations nearby that have physical collections of Florida history.  Since you are an ERAU student, you can also check out material from the following places (with your EAGLEcard and driver license):

Bethune-Cookman University
This library has a large collection of books on the history of Florida.

Daytona State College
This library has a large collection of books on the history of Florida.

Volusia County Public Library
There are many branches of the Volusia County Public Library.  Not only do they have access to several newspapers, but they also have Local History collections at the Deland and Daytona Libraries. This library has a large collection of books on the history of Florida.
