Search Tips
To search for articles, select the Company drop-down menu and select Keyword.
To search for a company, use the search box or hover over the Companies tab and select Company Finder.
Other search options include Company Histories, SWOT Reports, Investment Reports, and Financial Reports.
To search for an industry, use the search box or hover over the Industries tab and select All Industries.
Other search options include Market Share Report, Industry Essays, and Plunkett Reports.
Click the Comparison Charts tab to compare companies, countries or industries by revenue, number of employees, sales per employee, GDP, etc.
Click Case Studies to search for or browse case studies by keyword, date, or subject.
Search results can be marked by clicking the star button next to each item of interest. Click the Saved Items tab for print, email, and other options.

To find cases by topic, enter a word or phrase in the box titled "Search in SAGE Business Cases" in the top center of the main search screen. Note: This search box automatically performs an "exact phrase" search; to perform a search with Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT), click on the Advanced link just below the lower right corner of the search box
For an alphabetical list of cases, click on the link titled Browse SAGE Business Cases.
To browse by Discipline, Region, or other categories, click on the relevant Browse by... box in the center of the screen.
To search other SAGE products in addition to Business Cases, or for additional search options and filters, click on the Advanced link just below the lower right corner of the search box.

To search for news articles and other information, enter search terms in the Search the CAPA site box in the upper right corner, then hit the enter key.

Search Tips
On the Basic Search screen, search for company information by company name or stock symbol.
From the Company Details page, use the blue tabs along the top of the page to access various kinds of information, including History, Company Financials, etc.
If your company does not appear on the results list, try searching for it by the holding company name, if applicable.
To locate relevant industry information, search by Primary SIC code or Primary NAICS code.
Use the code lookup to identify SIC/NAICS codes.
The "Country Profile" box in the lower right corner of the main page provides comprehensive economic and statistical information on countries.

Good to Know
Access is to the current issue of the Value Line Investment Survey (VLIS) and the last twelve weekly issues.
Click the Markets tab at the top of the screen to view Stock Market Today commentaries and Value Line's Economic Calendar, which highlights upcoming financial events and indicators.
Click the Investment Education tab to view explanatory articles, FAQs, and videos on basic investing topics, such as "What is an Option?" The Glossary feature provides detailed definitions for financial and investment terms.
Search Tips
For company stock reports, use the Company name or symbol box. Type the company name or ticker symbol and click Quote.
Bookshelves are based on your ERNIE login. (Older versions of bookshelves were overridden.)
A separate Ebook Central account is no longer required for the use of Bookshelf, highlighting, and downloading features.
You can add books to your Bookshelf by clicking on the Add to Bookshelf link located on the left of the book’s Detail Page or by placing a bookmark on any page within the book.
For most books the print/download limit is 40% of the book's pages. Printing or downloading a chapter or page range do the same thing and deduct in the same way based on the pages allowed. Both options create a PDF that does not expire.
Check the "Availability" section, on the Detail Page, or in the Book Details side panel to see how many copies are available and if it is for Online reading or Download, or both.
You can change the language of the interface by clicking on Settings in the naviagation bar and clicking on Language. Choose your language and save the changes.

Use connectors AND, OR, NOT to separate terms and phrases: "flight crew" AND fatigue. Connectors must be capitalized.
Use an asterisk (*) at the end of a word root to find all variants: automat* will find automate, automated, automatic, and automation.
Click the Read Online button to view the full text of a book. Or, click on Full Download to download, if available.
Use the table of contents or navigational arrows to browse.
Use the "Search within book" search box to search for a term or phrase within the book.

Request Items
Books not available full text online in this database may be available in print. Search for the title in EAGLEsearch to see if the library owns a print copy. Visit the Borrow and Renew (Access Services - Circulation) page for help in checking out material.
If you see that a book is "Available on request," you may read the book online for up to 5 minutes; click Read Online to do so.
Click on the Request button or request this book link to fill out the form to request the library purchase it if you cannot locate it in our catalog.
To create a free account, click on Sign In at the top of the page and then click on Create one now or sign in with an existing Google account.
To use the book download, notes, and folder features, users must create a free account and sign in.
The number of pages that can be printed from any book depends on the book. After you click on Print Pages or the Download symbol for a section, a box will appear telling you the total allowable number of pages that can be printed.
Search Tips
Use AND to combine search terms so that each search result contains all of the terms. For example, military AND ethics.

Use the asterisk (*) to find variant endings of a word root. For example, secur* will find secure, security, securities, etc.
To broaden your search to include words related to your keywords, check the box next to "Apply related words" under the Search Options section in Advanced Search.
Look for bolded words to see where your search terms were found in the book.
Click on PDF Full Text or EPUB Full Text to view the entire book.

Click on Table of Contents to see a listing of the book’s sections and chapters. Then, click on a chapter title to view the chapter.

Playlists can be created to help you stay organized. To create or manage a playlist:
On the top right, click on the head icon and then choose Playlists.
Click on the red Create Playlist button
Add a name and then click on Create Playlist
Now that you have created the playlist, you can add to it by using the Add to playlist icon when you are viewing content
To highlight or add a note to any text, select the text with your mouse, release, and then click on Add Highlight or Add Note.
Search Tips
Use the search box located at the top left of the page to search for a specific title or keyword(s).
To search for an exact phrase, place words in quotation marks, i.e. “data lake”
To search for multiple keywords or phrases connect words with AND, i.e. "data lake" AND analytics
To view a whole book, click on the book title and then either choose a specific chapter in the listed Table of Contents, or click the Start Reading Now button on the right.
To browse, click on the Explore on the left and then click on All Topics.
To ask the database a question and see if the answer is in any of the O’Reilly titles, click on Answers on the left, i.e. What does HiPPO stand for?
