AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics)
AIAA is accredited by the American National Standards Institute and manages a wide range of national aerospace standards publications and activities. Its dedication to managing industry standards allows AIAA to support the continued enhancement of aerospace industry-wide efficiency and productivity.
ANSI (American National Standards Institute)
A private, non-profit organization that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standards and conformity assessment system. Founded in 1918, the Institute works in close collaboration with stakeholders from industry and government to identify and develop standards- and conformance-based solutions to national and global priorities.
ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers)
A global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment. The Society and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration and sustainability within the industry. Through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education, ASHRAE shapes tomorrow’s built environment today.
ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers)
Founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, and skill development across all engineering disciplines, while promoting the vital role of the engineer in society. ASME codes and standards, publications, conferences, continuing education, and professional development programs provide a foundation for advancing technical knowledge and a safer world.
ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)
A globally recognized leader in the development and delivery of voluntary consensus standards. Today, over 12,000 ASTM standards are used around the world to improve product quality, enhance health and safety, strengthen market access and trade, and build consumer confidence.
IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)

ISO (International Organization for Standardization)

SAE International (Society of Automotive Engineers)
SAE is a global association of more than 128,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial vehicle industries. It is the world’s leading authority in mobility standards development.

EPA Standards
The Clean Air Act requires EPA to set National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for six principal pollutants, called "criteria pollutants," that are common in outdoor air, considered harmful to public health and the environment, and that come from numerous and diverse sources. The statute established two types of national air quality standards: primary standards and secondary standards. This website provides scientific and technical information about the current or prior review of the NAAQS for each of the six criteria pollutants.

NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology)
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) was founded in 1901 and is now part of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
