Searching for case studies or other articles on your topic can be done through EagleSearch. When searching for a resource that uses a specific standard, make sure that you have the issuing body in addition to the number (e.g. ISO 31000). While anyone can search EagleSearch, only people currently affiliated with Embry-Riddle can access all content.
To search EagleSearch, or any article database, creating a search strategy before you start is the most effective use of your time. For instance, if you are trying to find case studies on ISO 31000 you could do the following search:
(aviation OR aerospace) AND "case study" AND "ISO 31000"
No matter your topic, utilizing the below search tips will make your searching easier.
Once you are in EagleSearch, you can use the filters on the left to narrow your results further. The Availability option allows you to see only online content, or only Peer-Reviewed (Scholarly) results. The Open Access filter allows you to limit results to ones that anyone can access without being affiliated with Embry-Riddle.
Content Type (articles, books, conference proceedings, etc), Publication Date, and Subject are the most popular filter options.

Database limiters are tools available in many databases that provide options to narrow your search results.
Quotation marks are used to indicate the terms enclosed in the marks must be searched as a phrase. Use quotation marks when searching multi-word concepts.
Truncation is used to include variant endings of a root term. Use truncation when there are various spellings of a term or you want the search to include variations on a term.
Wildcards use symbols to substitute for one or more letters of a word. Use wildcards when searching a term which may have different spellings or for terms that may change meanings with variant spellings.
