The Airport Environmental Program helps airports implement the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other Federal environmental laws and regulations. This includes airport noise compatibility planning (Part 150), airport noise and access restrictions (Part 161), environmental review for airport development, and the application of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970.

Aviation: Benefits Beyond Borders examines and promotes the three pillars of sustainability - Economic, Environmental, Social - in the context of the aviation industry.

Affected by aircraft noise? Concerned about climate change? Dealing with a proposed airport development? Looking for data on aviation’s environmental performance or on current regulation? The AEF is a UK-based association that is concerned exclusively with the environmental impacts of aviation.

The Commercial Aviation Alternative Fuels Initiative (CAAFI) seeks to enhance energy security and environmental sustainability for aviation through alternative jet fuels. CAAFI is a coalition that focuses the efforts of commercial aviation to engage the emerging alternative fuels industry. It enables its diverse participants – representing all the leading stakeholders in the field of aviation – to build relationships, share and collect data, identify resources, and direct research, development and deployment of alternative jet fuels.

Brings together experts from every part of the aviation industry with Government bodies and research institutions to seek practical and environmentally and economically sustainable solutions to the challenge posed by aviation’s impact on the environment.

The environment is one of our top priorities, along with safety and security. Airlines are working constantly to limit their climate change impact, emissions and noise. IATA helps them do so.
