Locate local and national groups and associations to find information and support regarding activism, allyship, community, counseling, and support resources.

Equality Florida
The largest civil rights organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community. Through education, grassroots organizing, coalition building, and lobbying, they are changing Florida so that no one suffers harassment or discrimination on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
P.R.I.D.E! at ERAU
The mission of P.R.I.D.E.! (People Respecting Identity, Diversity, and Equality) is to enhance the Embry-Riddle community by promoting awareness of diverse sexual identities through educational and recreational activities; by advocating for acceptance and respect among all people; by offering dignified social, service, and recreational activities for all LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning) and progressive straight allies; and by fostering personal growth in order to help shape future leaders in equality for all.
The Pride Chamber
The Pride Chamber's strategic focus is to serve as a resource to bridge the gap between small business and large corporations. They can help small business members become certified LGBT enterprises, help corporate members grow their diversity and inclusion and supplier diversity programs and foster connections between their members.

The Center
The Center promotes and empowers the LGBT Community and its allies through information, education, advocacy and support. They also offer support groups, clinical services, and events for the LGBT+ community. The Center is located in Orlando.
GLSEN - Orlando
GLSEN - Orlando is the local chapter of of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. Nationally, GLSEN works to ensure safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity.
PFLAG - New Smyrna Beach / Volusia
An organization with many chapters that provide support to LGBTQIA individuals and family members. Some chapters have monthly meetings, speakers' bureaus or annual conferences. Everyone is welcome. All meetings are confidential.

Family Equality Council
Family Equality Council connects, supports, and represents the three million parents who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer in this country and their six million children. They work to ensure equality for LGBT families by building community, changing hearts and minds, and advancing social justice for all families.
GLAAD
GLAAD works with print, broadcast and online news sources to bring people powerful stories from the LGBT community that build support for equality.
Human Rights Campaign
The Human Rights Campaign represents a force of more than 3 million members and supporters nationwide. As the largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer civil rights organization, HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.
Modern Military Association of America (formerly known as OutServe-SLDN)
Formed through the merger of the American Military Partner Association and OutServe-SLDN, the Modern Military Association of America is the nation’s largest non-profit organization for the LGBTQ military and veteran community. They are committed to education, advocacy and support for LGBTQ service members, veterans, military spouses, family members and allies. They currently have 75,000 plus members and supporters around the globe.
National Black Justice Coalition
The National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) is a civil rights organization dedicated to empowering Black lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people. NBJC’s mission is to end racism and homophobia.
National Center for Transgender Equality
The National Center for Transgender Equality advocates to change policies and society to increase understanding and acceptance of transgender people. In the nation’s capital and throughout the country, NCTE works to replace disrespect, discrimination, and violence with empathy, opportunity, and justice.
National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA)
The National Gay Pilots Association is a national organization of gay and lesbian pilots and other aviation enthusiasts from across the country. NGPA’s goals are to encourage members of the LGBT community to begin piloting careers and to foster equal treatment of LGBT aviators through advocacy and outreach.
National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals, Inc. (NOGLSTP)
The National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals is comprised of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender people and their allies employed or interested in scientific or high technology fields. NOGLSTP is an affiliate of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a participating professional society in the MentorNet Affiliated Partners Plus program.
Pride at Work
Pride at Work is a nonprofit organization and an officially recognized constituency group of the American Federation of Labor & Congress of Industrial Organizations. The association organizes mutual support between the organized labor movement and the LGBT community for social and economic justice. In addition to national Pride at Work, more than 20 chapters organize at the state and local level around the country.

It Gets Better
The It Gets Better Project is a nonprofit organization with a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe.
The LGBT National Help Center
The GLBT National Help Center is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to meeting the needs of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community and those questioning their sexual orientation and gender identity. Their Gay & Lesbian National Hotline, which began in 1996 and utilizes a diverse group of LGBT volunteers, is a primary program of the GLBT National Help Center. They have 15,000 local resources for cities and towns across the country.
The Point Foundation
Point Foundation is the nation’s largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students of merit.
The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.

GSA Network
GSA clubs, or GSAs for short, are student-run organizations that unite LGBTQ+ and allied youth to build community and organize around issues impacting them in their schools and communities.

Safe Zone Training (ERAU)
Students, faculty, and staff are invited to learn more about these opportunities provided through Safe Zone workshops which provide opportunities to learn and talk about LGBTQ+ identities, gender, and sexuality and examine prejudice, assumptions, and privilege.
