Google Scholar

This guide will show how to configure Google Scholar for access to Hunt Library resources.

Create an Author Profile

Google Scholar allows you to create an author profile to help you highlight academic publications, see who is citing your publications, and provides tools for you to graph citations over times and view citation metrics.

  1. Go to Google Scholar.
  2. In the top left corner of the screen, or in the menu on mobile, click My Profile.
  3. Sign into the Google account you wish to create a profile for.
  4. Enter your full name in the Name box.
  5. Enter your affiliation in the Affiliation box following the example provided.
  6. Enter your ERAU email for verification.
  7. Enter your research interests in the Areas of Interest box.
  8. Enter an optional homepage you might have, i.e., a student or faculty profile from your institution.
  9. Click Next.
  10. If you have written any articles you should see then on the next page; if so, select the correct group.
  11. Click the arrow button  to advance to the Settings page.
  12. Select the desired Article Updates and Profile Visibility options and click Done.
