Database & Library Access Issues

This guide will help out with common database and access issues when contacting the Hunt Library isn't an option.

Can't Open Documents

Occasionally, there are problems with opening some of our emailed documents, we have found that the following instructions solve the problem most of the time.

  1. First save each file to disk and then try opening them. To do this, right-click the filename.
  2. Choose Save Target As.... Be sure you notice where you save the file so you can find it again.
  3. Go to Explore, find the file, and select it.

If that doesn't work, try opening Adobe Reader first and then opening the saved file from within Reader.

  1. To do this, open the Adobe Reader, go to File, then Open. Locate and select the file name of the saved document.
