This guide provides resources that will be useful in the completion of assignments for students enrolled in MGMT 535 Theory and Application of Managerial Communications.

Search Tips
Enclose terms in quotation marks to search for exact phrases: “rhetorical analysis”
Use an asterisk (*) at the end of a root of a word to find all variants: speech* will find speech, speeches, speechwriting, etc.
Connect search terms with AND: doublespeak AND language
To broaden your search to include words related to your keywords, check the box next to "Apply related words" under the Search Options section.
Experiment with other options to further refine and focus your search.

Requesting Items
If full text is not available, mark the items you want by clicking on the Folder icon to the right of the citation. A box titled "Folder has items" will appear.
When you have finished adding items to the folder, click on "Go to: Folder View" within the "Folder has items" box, or on the Folder link in the top right corner of the page.
Click on E-mail on the right.
Enter your own email address in the "E-mail to:" box and click Send.(Sending the documents to yourself first ensures you have a copy of what you're requesting.)
After you receive the email containing your records, forward the email to library@erau.edu. Please include:

Course number

Use the asterisk (*) to find variant endings of a root word: comput* will find computer, computers, computing, etc.
Use the options in the Refine Search section on the left to further focus your results.
To search for company information, first perform a basic search using the company name. When the results page appears, click on the desired company name under Company Information on the right.

Search Tips
To search for articles, select the Company drop-down menu and select Keyword.
To search for a company, use the search box or hover over the Companies tab and select Company Finder.
Other search options include Company Histories, SWOT Reports, Investment Reports, and Financial Reports.
To search for an industry, use the search box or hover over the Industries tab and select All Industries.
Other search options include Market Share Report, Industry Essays, and Plunkett Reports.
Click the Comparison Charts tab to compare companies or industries by revenue, number of employees, sales per employee, etc.
Click the Chart tab to get started.
Search results can be marked by clicking the star button next to each item of interest. Click the Saved Items tab for print, email, and other options.
