ERAU Hunt Library

Acquisitions Help Guide

Purpose

The Hunt Library Acquisitions team is responsible for purchasing and managing print and electronic resources for the library collection. The Acquisitions Help Guide will serve the ERAU community by addressing typical collection concerns such as textbook policies, publisher licenses and restrictions, electronic resources access issues, and more.

We encourage all members of the ERAU community to participate in the library’s collection development. Librarians, faculty, students, and staff can request materials through Ask a Librarian or the Suggest a Purchase form on the library website. Librarians can also request print books and ebooks through Rialto in the Alma library management system. The Acquisitions team will consider requests for books, databases, journals, streaming videos, standards, and other unique resources. To be considered for purchase, requests must meet the standards set in the Hunt Library’s official Collection Management Policy.
