About EAGLEsearch

What is EAGLEsearch?

EAGLEsearch is a discovery tool that is powered by Summon from Serials Solutions. EAGLEsearch allows researchers to search much of Hunt Library's collection simultaneously. Each search returns results from Voyager, the library's online catalog, and many of the library's subscription databases, allowing fast and easy access to articles, books, ebooks, conference proceedings, government documents, technical reports, videos, and more, all at once from a single search box.

What will I find in EAGLEsearch?

EAGLEsearch returns results from Hunt Library's online subscription resources such as Advanced Technologies & Aerospace Collection, AIAA Aerospace Research Central (ARC), ebrary, ProQuest, and ScienceDirect. Each item listed on the results page includes a citation for that item and links to its full-text or online version (if available) or a catalog record indicating where that item can be found.

What will I NOT find in EAGLEsearch?

Resources that are not searchable in EAGLEsearch include some of our subscription databases that primarily provide statistical data or unique material. Such databases include:

  • Airline Monitor
  • Flightglobal
  • Mergent
  • Value Line

All of our subscription databases can be accessed and searched directly through our Research Databases page.

Why EAGLEsearch?

Hunt Library has always provided resources that are both scholarly and authoritative in nature, but now through EAGLEsearch that information can all be found using a single search box. Over the last decade the use of web search engines has proliferated among college students due to their convenience, speed, and ease of use, and now with EAGLEsearch, there's no reason to "Google it" when you can "EAGLE it!"
